It’s a challenge to cut a round flan or other round desserts when you want to divide them into smaller pieces. You may want to serve small squares when you will have several desserts on the dessert table, and you want your guests to taste them all.
This is the reason why I decided to start baking the flan in square pans also. This makes this task much easier. This also allows for some creativity, as you can add a variety of different toppings.
Of course the Flan can be cut into many configurations, but being that the one above was in a square pan, an easy configuration for it’s size yielded 16 pieces, which are shown above (minus the ones I ate and shared before I finished plating)!!
The standard order form on this website references the round Flans, but an order for square Flans can be accommodated. Just ask us when you call in your order.
